Ms. Monika HallerTo ensure you use your outdoor equipment safely and correctly, we have compiled the most important definitions and conditions for you.
Our products labeled as "waterproof" comply with standard EN 343 Class 3/1. This means they withstand a water column pressure of at least 1,300 mm. This specification refers to the new condition and correct impregnation. After prolonged use or mechanical stress, waterproofness may decrease. We recommend regularly impregnating and maintaining the equipment.
The statutory warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. Damage caused by obvious overloading, improper assembly, or use outside the intended purpose – such as using a 3-season sleeping bag in extreme sub-zero temperatures – is excluded from the warranty. Please read the product-specific care and usage instructions before first use.
We label products as "expedition suitable" that are designed for multi-day tours under demanding conditions. This includes reinforced construction, high-quality materials, and increased resistance to abrasion and weather. This classification does not replace an individual risk assessment of your planned route. For extreme high-altitude or polar expeditions, we recommend specialized equipment and consultation with experienced guides.

Our navigation devices generally support multiple satellite systems (GNSS), including GPS (USA), GLONASS (Russia), and Galileo (Europe). The specification "GPS" on the packaging often refers to the most well-known system but means full GNSS functionality. This gives you more reliable positioning even in difficult terrain or deep valleys. The exact supported systems can be found in the technical data of the respective product.
